Welcome to "The Humble Fishermen".

I ask my self this question often, while I'm freezing cold chest deep on a stretch of a river, "why do I love fishing so much"? Series of thoughts stream through my head, is it because my family needs the food,"no". Is it the relaxation I get while my teeth are chattering, "no". Maybe it is the predator instincts in me, or maybe my norwegian blood, "no". One day, after being skunked, walking the long walk of shame back to my car. I realized that fishing is such a humbling experience. It creates peace in your life, it gives balance to your ego, and it allows your daily routine to be broken. From then on, I fish for other reasons, I teach others strategies not to catch fish but just to get them out to experience it in their own way. For some it might just be another fishing trip, and others a spiritual journey. To me it is just another day being myself, a humble fishermen.

I would suggest using the FPDBphp and submit your patterns, this is software I created and is still under development, our unique hit count is only around 150 a day and 15 check out the FPDBphp, but people we still get a chance to look at your patterns. It's using mySQL database to the possibilities are unlimited in the amount of pattern it can hold. It works on a scoring system so that patterns are listed by score (between 1-10). This will allow guest to observe and input in which patterns they like, the most popular patterns will then be placed above. Newer patterns will always be placed above already scored patterns and so on until voted. . . .this should make for a pattern database that is useful and not a endless browse for something. Right now it includes searching for insect, locations, tier, and type of pattern. this slims down the search quickly finding the pattern you need fast.

Check out the wire leech. This pattern is a must for still water fly fishermen. Also check out the bobber stops and a guide to slack line lure presentation. I also have a dubbing block design that I made, with step by step instructions on how to make your own dubbing rope. Print out the husby fly diagram while you are here, it helps with creation of patterns
